Every Mila's Gift is a tiny ribbon bow, hand-knitted in soft velvet yarn — one at a time, in the colour of your choice. Tie it on a present, slip it into a card, or keep it for yourself. Because in the end, giving and receiving are the same little thing.
✦ Behind the bows
Every ribbon bow starts as a soft chunky velvet yarn — pink, lime, red, white, or whatever colour you ask for — and gets twisted, looped, and knotted into a tiny bow by Mila on her bedroom floor. She picks the yarn, ties the centre, snips the ends, and signs the card.
Some come out perfectly even. Some are a little wonky. All of them are made by hand by an actual eight-year-old who is genuinely happy you ordered one.
About this project. Mila's Gift is a learning project. Mila ties the bows because she loves making them; her parents run the website, reply to your messages, handle payments, pack the parcels, and look after every grown-up part of the business. Income from the bows is held for Mila to save or spend as she chooses. She does it because it's fun — when it stops being fun, we stop.
